It all started for the love of lemon water. My cousin, Lala, has put me on some pretty healthy stuff that have become part of my lifestyle regime. I created healthy habits based on our research for things such as my cinnamon supplements—to help with my PCOS—and, my dear friend, lemon water.
I replaced coffee in the morning with a mug of warm lemon water. This was detoxifying for my body and extremely beneficial for my metabolism. I would drink it before putting anything in my stomach, even before water. After some time, I got bored of it. That’s when I came up with my Warm Detox Drink. It has the love of lemon water with a little bit more added nutritional benefit.
I spiced up my Warm Detox Drink with one of my all-time favorite spices, cinnamon! I am a total fanatic of adding cinnamon to everything sweet. Sometimes I even add some to my savory dishes. Try it sometime, it’s amazing! Plus, for added sweetness, we added some raw local honey. Mmm, good.
Studies have shown that if you eat half a teaspoon of cinnamon each day in your foods, you could regulate your cholesterol. Cinnamon is also used as cancer prevention and known to reduce the proliferation of cancer cells. Cinnamon is a wonderful source of manganese, fiber, and calcium for your everyday nutritional intake. Adding a bit of this wonderful spice to your everyday life is known to improve cognitive function and memory. It protects your gut and intestines from any possible bacterial growth.
Some scientists believe that cinnamon is a great E. coli fighter in all aspects, more specifically in unpasteurized liquids and food. Cinnamon has worked wonders in my life to reduce my blood sugar levels. I can attribute the healing of my reproductive system to the dedicated intake of cinnamon on a daily basis. Thank You, Jesus! Warm Detox Drink
With the combination of lemon, cinnamon and honey, our homemade Warm Detox Drink will kick your body into gear.

Cook time: 3 mins
Total time: 5 mins
Yields: 18 oz
16 oz water, warmed
2 lemons, juiced
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp raw honey
Warm up your water.
Add lemon juice, cinnamon and honey to a mason jar. Shake until fully combined.
Serve into two mugs.
