The classic Crème Chantilly—better known as whipped cream—came together so beautifully in our infamous 3-ingredient recipe that went viral on the blog last year. Our homemade Sweet Whipped Chantilly Cream is light & fluffy, ready to top or fill your favorite dessert. Any chance we get, we make a batch to top our healthy desserts or to dip fruit in. When we came across some beautiful vanilla bean pods at Trader Joe's recently, we had to snag them and we knew we had to upgrade this recipe to Vanilla Bean Cream!
After carefully cutting down the middle of each vanilla bean pod, I used the very same pairing knife to scrape out the insides. It was so fragrant! I had never worked with vanilla bean pods before and I didn't really know what to expect. The vanilla bean paste is dark but creamy and looks like a ton of polka dots attached to each other. I just wanted to lick it right off the tip of the knife.
Upon adding the vanilla beans to our Crème Chantilly, the stiff peaks formed and became covered in beautifully fragrant, brown vanilla bean dots. This is truly a speckled beauty. Vanilla Bean Cream is just to die for! From the scent that fills the air to the happiness that fills your belly.
You can top just about any good American pie with our Vanilla Bean Cream: Banana Cream Pie, Old-Fashioned Peach Cobbler or Blueberry Pie, just to name a few.
I highly recommend sticking around the blog for the upcoming Blondie Cookie Pie recipe debuting next week. You won't want to miss that!
