Quinoa Pizza Bites

Yellow!! I have had a wonderful productive day so far and, truly, enjoy not having to think or worry about having to reapply yucky deodorant throughout the day. Craving pizza? Me too! Quinoa Pizza Bites kills the craving with a few simple and healthy ingredients. Power-packed with protein and fiber, these are delicious and killer.

 

To be completely honest, I really did love my Dove 'Ultimate Visibly Smooth'. This new "homemade deodorant" thing is interesting. I was obsessed for years with the fragrance of Dove 'nature fresh'.  Just to die for. Literally. Like if you use it, you die. They later took that scent off the market and I thought I would not make it without it. I was so wrong.

 

 

This particular line of deodorant by Dove only made two scents. I never really liked the other one, 'wild rose', but I agreed to accustom to it because I swore that 'Ultimate Visibly Smooth' was the only thing that worked. Not too long after this last event, I started noticing stores no longer carrying too much stock of my deodorant. I found a sale at CVS for the 'wild rose' scent at about 80 cents a piece. I cleared them out buying about 8-10 bottles.

 

As I worked through my bottles of deodorant, I realized it was really drying me out just to do it's job. My underarms were so hard to wash in the shower. It was like a layer of oil was filling my pores up. I never smelled but I began using more deodorant than ever feeling like that would heal my dry pits. I had already begun losing weight so it did not attribute to my obesity but to the mere fact that it is pure chemicals that I rubbed on religiously every morning, afternoon, and evening. Had I noticed this before, I may have considered natural/homemade/crunchy deodorant. More on that later...

Quinoa Pizza Bites

 

Craving pizza? Me too! Quinoa Pizza Bites kills the craving with a few simple and healthy ingredients. Power-packed with protein and fiber, these are delicious and killer.

 

Prep time: 15 mins

Cook time: 45 mins

Total time: 1 hour

Serves: 12

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.

  2. Chop onion.

  3. In a large bowl, mix onion, quinoa and egg. Slowly begin to add dry ingredients until combined.

  4. Microwave 2 tbsp of parmesan and the fresh mozzarella in a glass bowl for 30 seconds. Add to the other bowl. Mix everything well until it becomes like dough. Add salt and pepper. Let the dough air cool for about 10 minutes.

  5. Spray baking sheet with coconut oil.

  6. Roll the dough into tbsp size pizza bites. Spray each bite with aminos.

  7. Bake for 20 minutes.

  8. Microwave marinara sauce, covered, for 30 seconds. Mix in 1 tbsp of parm.

  9. Remove pizza bites from the oven. Allow to cool. Garnish with remaining tbsp of parmesan.

  10. Serve with marinara sauce to dip.
