Pineapple Tissue Paper Garland

June 11, 2017

In the last few weeks, I have been stealthily planning a pineapple and flamingo party. A dinner party, to be exact. There is an old friend from my wife’s childhood that lives just a ways down the road that she reconnected with through Instagram.

Between the first time they reconnected and now, I’ve actually begun to text back-and-forth with her, as of late. Of course, we invited her to come over with her significant other for nice and casual gathering. They have a beautiful puppy and we are hoping they bring her with them. The first decoration on my list was a Pineapple Tissue Paper Garland.

Last year, we had a surprise party for my sister-in-law’s birthday and I bought a nice yellow tissue paper garland at Dollar Tree to go with the pops of color from the Spring Lemon Place Cards I made. As I went to take it out for this spring for some other event this year, I realized that I could turn it into a long line of pineapples using just a little bit of green construction paper. So, of course, I did just that!

Now, I have not thrown the party just yet but I am so eager for the day to come. There is much more that goes along with my Pineapple Tissue Paper Garland in order to have the perfect pineapple and flamingo summer party but it’s cute just as-is. For now, here’s some cute pineapples just for the fun of it! Stay tuned for a collaboration between eHealed and Afloral.

Materials

Instructions

  1. Download and print pineapple topper printable onto white card stock.

  2. Follow instructions on tissue paper garland. Set aside.

  3. Cut out pineapple topper. Trace onto your sheets of green construction paper. Carefully cut out your pineapple toppers.

  4. Glue the bottom part of the toppers to each individual pineapple tissue paper pom-pom. Allow to dry for a few minutes and solidify.

  5. Using your lighter, lightly burn the ends of the unfinished ribbon on your paper garland. This will allow the ribbons to last a longer time.

  6. Hang garland where you desire for summer festive fun!

* This pineapple topper printable is not designed by me or Aloha Paper, it is a free design by Jollity & Co.
