This fabulous cocktail is no ordinary frosé, at all. Pineapple Guava Frosé is the next level of all frosé cocktails. Packing a punch from the juicy, ripe pineapple and smoothing out with a small pop of guava, this frosé is no freaking joke. It's also my wife's birthday today so cheers to another good, healthy, happy year of life with us! Woohoo!
On the Fourth of July, we were supposed to have my brother and sister-in-law over with my niece and nephew. Turns out, she got a promotion (Congrats, Lynn!) and has to work. I think he has to work, too. Oh well. That meant my wife and I needed to turn it up a notch. Insert Pineapple Guava Frosé here. If you were logged onto Instagram that morning, you may have seen my Insta-Story showing how I made this fabulous frosé!
This concoction came out so good, you guys. I had bought some Hawaiian guava at the market and let them get real ripe. I also picked up a pineapple and put it on the top of the fridge to ripen up. That's my little trick. The whole kitchen smelled like fresh guava this morning. Iao Valley vibes!! I peeled them and blended them with a super chilled bottle of Cooper's White blend that was left over from the wedding. After that, I strained the guava wine to remove the seeds.
The night before, I peeled, cored, and chopped the pineapple and froze it in chunks in the freezer. The next time, I will do it on a baking sheet to peel them off easier. I blended the thawed out pineapple chunks with the guava white wine blend and BAM: Pineapple Guava Frosé was really happening!
Using the sweetest cacti margarita glasses I ever laid my eyes on, I filled up our glasses to the rim, popped on half a paper straw and garnished each with the bud of a golden everlasting flower. Just priceless. And the taste? Mmm...
In the last three weeks, I have been doing Core de Force workouts at home and I have been freaking killing it. I have lost over 10 inches overall since I started incorporating Beachbody into my healthy lifestyle. It's been absolutely amazing! Core de Force is an mixed-martial arts inspired training program to really target all those muscles I tend to neglect when I workout alone in a gym. I thought I could never do an MMA style workout, but; now, I even know how to defend myself on top of the goals I am crushing.
These are real non-scale victories, you guys. And I am super pumped to keep pushing till I reach the goals I have set for myself! I am staying on point and enjoying life to the fullest with everything in moderation. What are you doing to stay on point? How can I help you reach your goals?
Pineapple Guava Frosé
Pineapple Guava Frosé is the next level of all frosé cocktails, packing a punch from the ripe pineapple & smoothing out with a pop of guava.
Prep time: 15 mins
Cook time: 20 mins
Total time: 35 mins
2 cups frozen pineapple
4 ripe guava, peeled
1 bottle of white wine
¼ cup raw honey
Cut each straw in half, as the straw will be too tall for a margarita glass. Pop the buds off of your golden silk everlasting flowers, temporarily, in order to later garnish each glass.
Remove frozen pineapple chunks from the freezer to thaw while you infuse your wine.
Peel guava. Blend with white wine until slightly frothy. Strain to remove guava seeds. Set aside while you wash the blender.
Add frozen pineapple chunks to the blender and cover completely with your guava infused wine. Blend for 45-60 seconds. Drizzle in honey while blending. Your frosé is ready when it has a slushie consistency.
Serve with a paper straw. Garnish each glass with an everlasting flower bud.
