Today, I’ll be sharing some AMAZING “Mustache Bash” ideas for party and event planning! Back in April, it was our little cousin, Herlis’ birthday on the 15th. She was so excited that to be coming up to Orlando for her Spring break to spend with us. Her one and only request was that we throw her a “Mustache Bash” like we did for New Years, since she couldn’t spend it with us. Of course, being the creative nut I am, I obliged.
A few days before going to get her, my Titi and Tío changed their mind. I don’t remember why cause all I remember is her devastation. All I could think of was how much she wanted this party. She is a simple girl and she had one request that we couldn’t make happen. This ate me up inside!
Last minute, we decided we would drive down to Miami and bring the “Mustache Bash” to her. I mentioned this to Titi and she was SO excited! We came up with a plan of action for her party. First things first, we were going to surprise her by showing up at Titi’s house. Second, we’d be up all night and spend all the next day, whilst she was at school, preparing for the “Mustache Bash” she didn’t know she was having.
I LOVE surprise parties! Not for myself, duh, but for others. They get me so hype and I just love the look on their face: priceless. There’s nothing like a packed house with dimmed lights, a fully loaded table of gifts, and a delicious spread of party-theme related food (ahem, “Mustache Bash”) ready for the birthday person to walk in and practically shit crap themselves of fear and excitement all at once. Is that even freaking possible?
Well, it was a complete success, mustache cake and all made by my sister-in-law, Lynn; it was spectacular. She was overjoyed with all the loved ones that came to be a part of it as well as those who put so much effort into it * cough cough *, Titi and I. Now, all our efforts have been summed up to this blog post to all those out there that want to throw the perfect “Mustache Bash”, whether it be a birthday, baby shower, graduation or retirement event.
Enjoy & let us know what you think!
