You know those days that you just crave Jalapeño Poppers? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, we can’t be friends. Just kidding! I may not be as humorous as I think but at least I try. Well, today was one of those days. I have memories of my cousin, Lala, and I going to the 24-hour Arby’s in Kendall in the middle of the night for a late night craving of Jalapeño Poppers with boysenberry sauce.
Eating healthy and all, sometimes I think of foods I used to eat and think to myself that there is no way to recreate them in a healthy form. Truth be told, I don’t always believe in myself but thank God that Marylex does. It’s hard to find the one but if you do, teamwork is freaking key! There is no way to get through it without being supportive of one another. You have to have an ear to listen and you have to have the heart to love.
My honey encourages me to try new things and create with my mind wide open. She, also, really enjoys being a part of all the stuff I do for our family to be and stay healthy. This is true teamwork. Marriage is not easy. There are days where you just don’t want to look at each other but you can never go to sleep mad at each other. There are times where you don’t want to talk but the other person has already read your mind. And, there are days where you both synonymously want Jalapeño Poppers.
With all the Arby’s thing in mind, I truly thought about using a homemade fruity jam to dip these bad boys in but I realized that I had no need to 'cause they were just as good alone. They are wrapped in BACON for crying out loud! Who would need to dip this in anything?! I sure didn’t. That’s what she said. Haha! There goes my humor again.
For the faint in heart and hater of fast food drive-thrus, these homemade Jalapeño Poppers are for you and your family + friends! The second time I made them, I served them with Mama's Cranberry Sauce to dip and it was just like Bronco Berry Sauce from Arby's. Absolutely delicious except this is a healthy way to dip.
I kind of can’t wait to make these again. They were that easy to make. It was quick and easy. Fast food doesn’t always have to be from a drive-thru. Fast food can be made right inside your kitchen. For us, this went down fast in our conventional oven. I’m sorry to leave you but I’m about to go sneak one of these little suckers.
