Alas, Sunday is here! It’ll soon be time to finish up a project or two that have been in the works. Before we get to crack-a-lacking, Conversation Heart Sugar Scrub is up for grabs. Who’s with me?
All the little girls—and ladies alike—are going to be dazzled to get a sweet Conversation Heart Sugar Scrub as a Valentine this year.
Guest Room Closet
Gosh, we’ve been on a rollercoaster ride about the upstairs guest room closet for quite a while. Between Chris and Marylex, they’ve been able to accomplish a lot in the last two weeks, only working on Sundays.
When we first moved in, we ripped off the knock off closet maid junk racks that were in the wall and tossed em. They were slanted, above all else.
Little by little, we patched the holes, sanded down the wall and retouched with some white paint. By now, we have almost the entire closet covered in cedar wood planks. Today, we will be putting up the remainder of the cedar wood planks and install the actual closet maid shelves and rods. Yay for a completed project!
We got all of our supplies at Home Depot and the project is looking to have only cost us about $250-300. Pretty good for a DIY project!
While we visited Cathy in Vero Beach, we made a pitstop at my favorite place: Dollar Tree. You can see some of what we did during our visit here. We wanted to make cute little valentine gifts that we could give away to the girls in the family. With some conversation hearts, sugar and two more ingredients, we were able to make the cutest Conversation Heart Sugar Scrub.
Now, let’s be honest, we tried crushing these bad boys with a hammer and didn’t succeed. Besides the fact that I don’t eat sugar, this was all the more reason why these shouldn’t be eaten and just used for projects.
We only spent about $4 to make Conversation Heart Sugar Scrub for the ladies and girls. With a pack of 10 little one ounce containers for just a buck, we were able to make 8 little tubs of Conversation Heart Sugar Scrub.
