Today is a day full of crisp and colorful Club Lettuce Wraps for the summer! These are quick easy lunches that are good to go for those days by the pool, on the beach, at a barbecue, or just plain day of fun out in the sun. Many people want to stay or get fit during the summer but struggle to do so. I can tell you why because I have been there before. Summer days drift away quickly; before you know it the day is over and you have hardly eaten a thing.
Having quick meals to make with ingredients that are not complex but at the reach of your fingertips are the perfect way to not skip meals. To get or stay fit, you have to be well nourished. Use this set of lettuce wraps to keep you, your friends, the kids...just everyone happy and healthy at the same time.
The kids will love the colors in each bite and helping can be fun, too! From making the bacon to slicing the tomatoes and layering everything on the lettuce wrap like a boat is a way to teach the little ones how eating healthy can be fun and fulfilling. I love seeing kids eating healthy. So many kids nowadays are walking around with a juice box and a bag of chips in hand while their parent sips on diet soda. This is so common because it's mainstreamed into our society and engraved into our culture to have that this is actually food mentality about these terrible foods that do nothing but make you sick, weary, and obese in order to create more health issues in the world.
On a lighter note, this quick meal is nice and delicious at any time of the day, really. With a hint of mustard's spice over a crisp lettuce wrap layered with salty nitrate/nitrite free ham, fresh sliced baby Swiss cheese, slices of juicy tomato, and a piece of crunchy warm bacon, these Club Lettuce Wraps are just so full of good flavor! I already had all the ingredients in my fridge and was so easy to put together that I was done cooking, eating and out the door back to work in a mere 20 minutes. This is the way to have summer lunch while still enjoying all your summer fun.
