Bridesmaid Proposals

April 26, 2016

I finally proposed to my bridesmaids!

I’ve been dying to announce our beautiful Tuscan Winter Wedding to the world. I couldn’t do so without having my brides team in place. And to have my perfect team, the perfect Bridesmaid Proposals were in order. The thought of doing it via mail rather than in person was one that I could not entertain for even one second.

This past week we went as a family to Miami and stayed at my brother and sister-in-law’s house. It was amazing! I love and cherish every moment I get to spend with my family right now, but; Miami is just not it for me anymore, though. Orlando really is my home. This time was different because it was all about the love we all share.

Being that the love we have for each other is what brings us all together, a wedding is just what the doctor ordered. Get ready for what’s to come next because these are top-of-the-line Bridesmaid Proposals. The tales of the Lopez-Sarraff bridezillas has begun! See below the breakdown of prices spent on each item that was made. I also included the recipe for the Blood Orange Lip Scrub because, HEY, you need to make your own for your best girls.

Extras

For these extras, I took some clothespins I had bought for future projects on Amazon and acrylic paint from my painting days and I painted two brides on each! This might seem super complex so I did not include it in the tutorial instructions below. It really isn't that hard to do, I promise.

You can paint two brides, two grooms, or a groom and bride with little to no painting skill. If this is still intimidating for you, completely understand. If you do end up making your own little painted clothespins, please email me the final result! I would love to see what you all came up with.

Instructions

  1. Acquire your supplies.

  2. Open bag of basket shred. Divide evenly amongst the baskets. Fill the bottom of each chicken wire basket with a layer of brown basket shred. If there is leftovers, store in a resealable bag for another future project.

  3. Add one paint swatch palette strip, in the color scheme of your choice, to each basket.

  4. Using your permanent marker, dedicate each card/envelope to whom you desire. Find a good location to punch a hole. Apply your brad. Include any additional items before sealing.

  5. Don't forget to include a set of jewelry for each along with a mini mason jar of lip exfoliating scrub with a popsicle stick to scoop.

Notes

* I chose copper to go with the rose gold | sage | blush wedding scheme.
