Barbecue Chicken Drumsticks

July 4, 2016

Happy Fourth of July!

This is one of my absolutely favorite holidays in the whole year. The entire house is readily decorated and we’ve got fireworks galore. Absolutely everything is ready with American flags all over the place waving their beautiful red, white and blue colors. Everything America is a go for me. I’ve got my outfit set aside—an adorable flag tank in size small—with a pair of white linen shorts that are way too big for their own good {ready to go in the hand-me-down pile with the rest of them}. And one more thing I have ready to go are these beautiful Barbecue Chicken Drumsticks in the oven getting golden right now.

With our niece and nephew in town we were happy to make plans with our wonderful friends, Melissa and Chris. They are going to pick us up later this afternoon to head over to Kissimmee for some lakefront fireworks at a local park. How cool is that?! Seems like they go every single year and we just keep missing the beat. We are stoked to be joining them with the kids to have a night out on the town celebrating July 4th. Hopefully they’ll get a chance to take a taste of my amazing Barbecue Chicken Drumsticks.

Shout out to our Instagram friends {that we met in real life}—Jess & Jackie—who are celebrating their one year wedding anniversary today. Kudos to them for sharing their anniversary with our incredible country. More patriotic than them, I have not ever seen.

Enjoy your holiday and stay safe, everyone. Just do not forget to make some good old Barbecue Chicken Drumsticks with our delicious Cilantro Garlic Sauce to dip in. And party like a freaking patriot! We sure are.
