I am back at it again with a new recipe for laundry detergent! This was made specifically targeted for those out there who were concerned about adding fabric softener crystals to their detergent. Although I feel completely confident in the fabric softener I add to my homemade laundry detergent, others are not and I wanted to make another versatile homemade product that can last an entire year.
The base of this Baby Rose Laundry Detergent is a bar of Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap. I could have used the liquid form and created a liquid detergent but I found that traveling with powdered laundry detergent is much simpler—since we travel often. Might I add that powdered laundry detergent is much more effective than the liquid kind. This is obviously me speaking from experience if you can be your own judge of that.
I love to gift some of my homemade Baby Rose Laundry Detergent to expectant mothers or parents of newborn children. This is the most inexpensive way to naturally wash kids clothing. You never know what might have been in contact with your clothing prior to wearing for the first time. This is not only a go to for babies and toddlers. It goes for pre-pubescent teenagers, young adults and all the like.
If you’re a fan of Laundry Detergent Pods, as we are, the recipe for this Baby Rose Laundry Detergent and follow the directions listed in our homemade Laundry Detergent Pods and you can make your own. I find the pods are the best of both worlds. Pods have the full power of powdered laundry detergent with the added benefit of just enough liquid to solidify it into a tiny pocket form. How cool is that?
Making your own detergent at home will save you tons of cash, completely avoid the headache of having to go buy detergent as often as you do now, and he will be sure of what ingredients are being used to wash your laundry. Believe me, it doesn’t get any better than this!
